Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Drops made from the same cacao as your Artisan Bar and Original Cut?

Yes. Every Pachakuti ceremonial cacao product is crafted from the same rare Arriba Nacional cacao. The only difference is the format.

Why choose Artisan Drops?

Artisan Drops are our quickest and easiest format to prepare. There's no chopping required, making them ideal for busy mornings, everyday rituals and anyone new to ceremonial cacao.

How much cacao should I use?

Daily serving: 20–30g
Full ceremonial serving: Up to 42g

How do I prepare Artisan Drops?

Add your preferred amount to hot water or your favourite milk and blend until smooth. Their small size allows them to melt quickly for fast, fuss-free preparation.

What is Arriba Nacional cacao?

Arriba Nacional is a rare heirloom cacao variety native to Ecuador, celebrated worldwide for its naturally rich flavour, floral notes and exceptional quality.

Is ceremonial cacao the same as cocoa powder?

No. Ceremonial cacao is made from whole cacao beans that are stone-ground into a paste, preserving the natural cacao butter and the bean's full flavour. Cocoa powder is more heavily processed, with much of the cacao butter removed.
